The Translation Problem
A military job code, a trade abbreviation, an internal project name. Insider language costs you twice. The model barely saw those terms while it was learning, so it guesses at what they mean. And the person reading your resume or your proposal never got the decoder ring either. Translating doesn't shrink your work.
After this lesson
- You will see why insider shorthand costs you with the model and with your reader at once.
- You will translate a code or acronym into the outcome it was standing in for.
- You will keep the scale of your work visible instead of hiding it behind jargon.
