The Files Door: Claude Code for Non-Programmers
Your quote calculator has its own folder now, with a versions folder and a log. Every fix still goes through the clipboard. You paste the whole file into a chat, ask for one change, copy the answer out, save it over the old file, and test. One afternoon you did that six times and once saved over the wrong file.
By the end of this lesson
- You open one dedicated folder in the Code tab with a saved version behind it.
- You switch the session to Manual and read each request before you allow it.
- You can say what each of the five permission modes lets Claude do without asking.
